Arizona Governor Jan Brewer
On March 24th, Arizona passed a law banning abortions based on the race or gender of the fetus. Governor Jan Brewer has yet to sign the bill into law, but with her strong anti-abortion track record it is expected that she will sign. This win is a symbolic victory to many conservative abortion opponents, abortions for these reasons account for less than 1% of all abortions annually.
