Sometimes you just want to feel a thick veiny cock inside of you. Sometimes, sadly, those are hard to find. When the craving hits, Bound by Tantus and SheVibe Vibeology might be just the thing to satisfy you longing orifice.

Bottom line: While Tantus & SheVibe’s Bound dildo didn’t agree with my booty, it’s definitely worth checking out. With a unique design and trademark quality, it could easily be just the thing for someone who needs a bit more friction and texture. Unfortunately, despite it’s great design and quality materials, the sensation may be too much for some people.

Turn ons:

Like all the Tantus toys we’ve reviewed thus far, Bound is a simple injection molded silicone device. As the name suggests, this one is made to look like a bound and incredibly angry-looking penis. Since I do love the look and feel of a cock in a cock ring, this was a really hot design choice.

Thick, veiny biological cocks provide a lot of surface and extra texture during penetration. Bound offers the same sort of sensory experience but with a lot more friction. I preferred using it in a condom to experience the texture more comfortably. Regardless, in use, all the ripples and bumps gave a really satisfying sensation on my anus. Also, the sizing is just about perfect to make my intermediately skilled anus feel full without too much discomfort.

Tantus has always come across to me as a rather elegant company and range of products. A collaboration between She Vibe and Tantus, Bound doesn’t ruin that impression but it does suggest they’ll expand into some more unusual designs, which is a good thing.

I do really like Bound’s design overall. It’s kind of crazy looking when you pay attention to the details. There’re veins and rope everywhere. Still, there aren’t any extraneous parts and everything seems like it was put there with thought. The color choice is a bit too conventional, though, especially considering the extreme punk-ish design.

With its large base, it’s perfectly safe for anal play, o-ring harness compatible. It’s also easy to thrust alone or with a partner.

Bound, like all Tantus products, is made from very high quality and body-safe silicone. The silicone here is very firm but will bend. It feels light but substantial in your hand and offers all the great benefits of silicone toys: easy to clean, body safe, non-porous, phthalate-free, etc.

Turn offs:

While the toy itself is well designed and made from great materials, I don’t actually like Bound inside my butt. No matter how much lube I used, it always caused way too much friction. My boyfriend who has a hairier butt than me found that his hair kept getting tugged, which is really uncomfortable.

I have a feeling that this isn’t a toy made for the butt. With the texture of the silicone’s finish, firmness and overall design, it reminds me of dildos made for the vagina; considering it’s a collaboration with SheVibe, it makes sense. I did try it with a condom, though, and I will say it felt pretty damn good. If you use Bound frequently, that could get expensive. Although, it will help keep all the nooks and crannies clean.
