The other night I was enjoying the sexy, hard bodied spoils of a rather large bar tab. We were well into having some mind blowing sex, when suddleny he lifts my arm up and starts licking my arm pits.
I was taken aback, because I’d only every seen someone do that in the gay porn I watch on Tumblr. I thought that it was some sort of stupid thing that porn companies make their actors do, not something that people actually liked. What’s up with that?

Honestly, I don’t really understand the whole licking of the armpits thing. I know it’s common, but I’ve never met anyone who liked it. If I do, I’m totally going to ask.

I know that often the licking of one’s armpit is accompanied with sniffing, which I do understand and can explain. Generally people say that they just like the way it smells, which is understandable.

The armpit is rather fragrant. While the body smell that is emitted from that region is normally thought to be stinky, there are some people who really enjoy that sweaty, musky smell. In fact people who like the smell of armpit often enjoy the smell of sweat socks or underwear as well. These are all places on the body with strong scent signatures.

If you’ll let me get geeky for a moment (as if I need permission, see above), I’m pretty sure that, if researched, there would be a biological reason for why it smell pleasant to some people and gross to others. I can’t say exactly what that reason is, but it probably has something to do with the process of mate selection.

You don't seem particularly worried about the armpit licking, just why he did it. So, there's your answer: it smells nice to some people, probably tastes nice, too. Maybe you should try doing the same to him.
