For people who are geographically challenged, telemedicine has be a literal life saver. Doctors are able to meet with patients through Skype or other telepresence tech and diagnose maladies and prescribe the medication people need. This type of medical practice has been extended to women in need of early, RU-486 capable, abortions. Unfortunately for women in Iowa and Nebraska state legislators have announced plans to try to ban telemedicine abortions. Right now telemedicine abortions are only available in Iowa, but preemptive measures are being put in place in Nebraska.
Moral Of The Story:
If you live in Iowa or Nebraska, move... now.
