Most American films are unremarkable, especially those that cover relationships. However, every now and then you find one that ignites something inside you with its originality. With its sleek visual style and sophisticated dialogue, Mike Nichols’ 2004 Neo Romance film Closer is just that.

I stated that the spark I got from this film came from its originality and that is a bit of a lie. It’s challenge to make a valid claim of originality when the screenplay for Closer is based upon Patrick Marber’s 1997 play of the same name. Marber also wrote the screenplay and was able to capture the same seductive sense of sensual awareness and emotional complexity as the play.

The Durex High Sensation condom’s name is a surprisingly disappointing misnomer. From my experience, the name should be more like “Low Sensation,” or better yet, “Meh.” It may seem harsh, but my only thought as I tossed the used condom in the garbage was, “Eh, I’ve had better.” That is not the thought you want to have after an orgasm. My partner didn’t feel any better about it and actually complained that the ribbing at the base of the condom led to some post coitus irritation. However, during sex there was no discomfort.

The Durex Enhanced Pleasure condoms are awesome. If you want, you can stop reading now because the next 400 words or so will be nothing short of a raving review. You could read it or you could run out of the door and down to your closest drug store to buy their entire stock of Durex Enhanced Pleasure condoms. If you’re not out the door then continue reading, but you better be clicking away to Condom Depot.

When the idea of a dating guide on how to pick up European men was first put to me I scoffed because it sounded ridiculous. After reading said guide I am still scoffing, but I'm also laughing.

The Single Girl's Guide To Meeting European Men, written by Katherine Chloe Cahoon, is a tongue in cheek, hilarious guide to finding and enjoying the mysterious European male. It's a one of a kind book that is unmatched in it's ridiculousness, absurdity, comedy, and truth. Cahoon's Elle Woods meets Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous style of writing is witty and sharp. She is effectively able to get you worthwhile information in a way that makes you exclaim WTF!?

TSGGTMEM is the sort of book you pick up by accident and subsequently purchase because you feel like you MUST share with your friends. If you are still unconvinced that you need to pick up a copy then you must take a look at the viral video series that she created to go with it. Do yourself a favor and check them out.
